fratlas: Recently read and thoroughly enjoyed "Elon Musk"; good insight into both starting unicorns and how much of a genius Elon is.

Ask HN: Are there any books that inspire or highly influence the way you work?

axrd: Yes everyone is an Elon fan already, but the book offers a great inside look into how he thinks and how he faced down some incredible challenges. The book really inspired me to think bigger and to optimize for impact.

Ask HN: Books you wish you had read earlier?

Amogha_IO: I am a Spacex & Tesla Fan-boy. I picked this up in 2015 the day it was launched! I have read this at least half a dozen times by now. Hard-work, perseverance and creativity to the max. A must read for every entrepreneur.

Ask HN: Which books have made you introspect?

Zanni: More than any book I've read recently, this made me stop and reflect on my own life and what I'm doing with it. I work, primarily, in entertainment, which has its own value, and I try to make a positive, if small, difference in the lives of people around me, but ... nothing like on the scale of what Musk is doing.

Ask HN: Books you read in 2018?

johnstorey: Hate or love him, he's a major factor in moving human civilization forward in what I think are good ways. The wife and I got a few lively conversations while listening to this book.
